Cardamom Tented Camp is a non-profit project that offers eco lodge accommodation, which pays for the protection of 18,000 hectares of Botum Sakor National Park, in Koh Kong province. We offer guided treks into the dense jungle of Botum Sakor, kayaking in the daytime and boat watching for fireflies at night along the river. For the more adventurous, you can go tubing down the river, ziplining across the river or exploring some of the remote parts of the river system.

Chi Phat, located in Koh Kong, is a community-based ecotourism project by Wildlife Alliance. Go trekking to Betel Nut waterfall for a refreshing swim, embark on a journey from Bald Mountain Viewpoint to Silver Meadow, or take a trip to Loom Stream Mountain Community’s banana plantation. For a cultural experience, learn about 500-year-old ancient jar burials in the Cardamom mountains. Volunteers can stay in Chi Phat long term and help build the local community.

Fishing Cat Ecological Enterprise is an organisation that aims to promote the conservation of the Fishing Cat population in Cambodia. They conduct research on the different species, habitats and the ecosystem they thrive in. It’s important to contribute to the body of knowledge of the fishing cats to remove fear and persecution of the species and ensure conservation.

Herost is an online travel guide and toolkit promoting eco-friendly, community-driven travel experiences. Herost, which means β€œHosts are Heroes” identifies and lists accommodations, activities, and tours provided by responsible hosts for travellers who care about their impacts on people and the planet. They encourage, nurture and highlight eco-friendly tourism destinations, experiences, and practices that are positive and inclusive. Travelers can view eco-lodging, farmstay and eco-friendly restaurants options on our website, whereas sustainable businesses can add their business listings on Herost.

Khmer Dive group organises diving trips to archipelagos in Cambodia such as Koh Rong, Koh Tang and Koh Sdach. Their training facility enables visitors to becoming scuba divers. They encourage eco-friendly diving which involves no touching or taking of marine life and work with a conservation NGO to help clean the ocean.

Steung Areng Community-Based Ecotourism is based in Areng Valley. Established by the local community, authorities and stakeholders in January 2016 with Wildlife Alliance’s support, the project protects and preserves the local area’s natural and cultural resources. Visitors are encouraged to spend 3 – 5 days, where they can trek, cycle, swim, rock climb, camp and kayak in the forest. They can also learn to make wine, enjoy traditional music, and learn more about the local community’s way of life.

Trapeang Sangkae Community -Kampot

The Trapang Sangke Fishery Community offers accommodation and fantastic activities to immerse you in nature. The area is rich in natural resources and it was established to help support the plants such as mangroves, and the community income. Some activities they offer are kayaking, Khmer style fishing, and sunset mangrove visits.

Formed in 2018, Visit Kampot is a tourist information centre for visitors to browse handy information on what the picturesque coastal province has to offer. Showcasing various ecotourism destinations such as beaches, rivers, islands, mountains, waterfalls and historic buildings, Visit Kampot aims to educate and connect tourists with the local community and provide more income-earning opportunities for locals.
